Every Thursday evening you will find Karen Abraham playing with small children and their significant adults in the Music Together® class. Music is a basic life skill which not only provides a source of rich satisfaction in itself, but also facilitates and reinforces other learning, especially in the critical early childhood years.   The Music Together class is a community of families sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting. Music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children.  Infants, toddlers and preschoolers participate at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages.  Parents and caregivers contribute to the enrichment of their child’s music environment regardless of their own musical abilities.   Each semester includes a professional recording with new songs, rhythm patterns and “play-alongs” on CD and via digital download and streaming; songbook and quarterly family e-newsletter and parent education for the enhancement of their child’s music development.   For more information visit meadowlarkmusictogether.com or contact Karen at 785-393-3575 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
