In addition to the meal we will be recognizing several of our key partners for this dedicated commitment to this project and the citizens of Topeka/Shawnee County.
Dwight Menke – Vice President of Community Thanksgiving Dinner Foundation is very excited along with the other Board members on sharing this very important accomplishment with our fellow citizens of Topeka/Shawnee County area. You will be asked to provide your name, address and phone number. Meal requests are limited to one per person. There is a limit of 3 meals per household with multiple persons. If you are a resident of one of Topeka’s high-rise apartments and normally get daily meals delivered, please check with your building manager before calling.
Non-perishable food donations for this year’s dinner can be taken to several locations throughout the city. We have partnered again with the Topeka fire department and they will start collecting at the Topeka area fire stations on Wednesday November 15th through Sunday, November 19th. Non-perishable items needed are canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes, boxed dressing, boxed instant potatoes, canned cranberry sauce, canned milk, canned chicken broth, white and brown sugar.
Cash donations are also needed to off-set the cost of the perishable food items; donations are accepted at all Corefirst Bank and Trust locations or may be mailed to: CTDF; PO Box 432; Topeka KS 66601.
Community Thanksgiving Dinner Foundation (CTDF) is very excited about this 50th dinner celebration and look forward to once again work with our fellow citizens in meeting our primary goal “NO ONE SHALL DINE ALONE ON THANKSGIVING”
